Give to the Max Day is November 21
Western Communities Action Network (WeCAN) needs your support on Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 21. During this statewide day of giving, WeCAN invites you to stop by the office at 5213 Shoreline Drive in Mound to make a monetary donation in person. Caribou Coffee and treats will be provided!
Watch for WeCAN throughout the community that day, as local businesses will be sharing WeCAN’s message of giving.
Give to the Max Day is organized by GiveMN.org. It is a day when all Minnesotans come together to donate to their favorite charity or cause. Please consider a donation to WeCAN on this special day to help them meet their goal of $30,000. A local family foundation has pledged to match the first $15,000 raised, so they are already well on their way.
“We are relying on our generous supporters to help us through these challenging times,” said Executive Director Chris Anderson. “Your support is greatly appreciated and gives us strength to do this challenging work.”
WeCAN is trying to collect 57 donations on Give to the Max Day – to celebrate Director Anderson’s 57th birthday the same day!
No time to stop by, but you still want to give? You can make a donation on WeCAN’s website, or at GiveMN.org. All gifts made using the GiveMN site from now through November 20 will be eligible for all Give to the Max Day prizes. Donations will be randomly selected throughout the day and matched with cash grants for your chosen charity.
Please feel free to call WeCAN, 952-472-0742, if you have any questions or need any additional information.
“We look forward to seeing you on November 21 and thank you in advance for partnering with us to help better serve our community!” said Anderson. “Because together, WeCAN!”
