Support Our #GiveAtHomeMN Campaign
Facing an increased demand for our services during this time of change and uncertainty, WeCAN is grateful to participate in the first ever #GiveAtHomeMN campaign, a virtual fundraising event taking place May 1- 8 for nonprofits and schools across the state in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign is run by GiveMN, the nonprofit that organizes Give to the Max Day each November.
A generous family foundation has pledged a $10,000 match for donations made during this campaign. Can we count on your support, too? DONATE NOW!
As we continue to thoughtfully adapt to the daily changes we are facing, the health and well-being of our staff, clients and volunteers remains our top priority. We are already seeing an increase in financial insecurity, but we know that in the weeks and months to come there will an unprecedented need for emergency assistance and other support.
Though we have recently made some tough decisions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this virus will not stop our commitment to helping our clients reach stability and self-sufficiency. Those who depend on us most cannot wait for “normalcy” to arrive.
Our regular schedule of fundraisers has been put on hold during the coronavirus outbreak. But we are not sitting idle and we need your help to continue to provide our important services during this uncertain time.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation on our website to help our neighbors when they need it most. Or send a check to WeCAN, 5213 Shoreline Drive, Mound, MN 55364. Making your donation at GiveMN during this week-long campaign will also give WeCAN the opportunity to stretch your gift—every donation made to WeCAN gives us an opportunity to win a $250 Golden Ticket from the Bush Foundation, or a $2,500 Golden Ticket from US Bank!
Especially in times of crisis, our work is desperately needed. Your support is appreciated now more than ever. And when the urgency has lifted, we will be here to help our community rebuild. Our neighbors are counting on us.
Thank you for helping to care for the most vulnerable in our community, now and always.
